The Current CCB requirements for continuing education (CE);

During the 2013 Legislative session, lawmakers passed SB 783, which was intended to improve the residential continuing education program for Oregon contractors. The new requirements become effective January 1, 2014.

The number of hours you have to take is now based on how many consecutive years you have been licensed as a residential contractor.

If you have been licensed for 6 or more consecutive years as a Residential contractor you need:

CCB Laws, Regulations and Business Practices (LRB)
(Currently only available from the state.)
3 hours
Series A Courses. 5 hours
  8 hours total.


If you have been licensed for less than 6 consecutive years as a Residential contractoryou need :

CCB Laws, Regulations and Business Practices (LRB)
(Currently only available from the state.)
3 hours
Series A Courses. 5 hours
Series A or B Courses. 8 hours
  16 hours total.
